Daily Routine

Afternoon Routine

It’s Lunch time!

Routine (12pm)Breakdown of routine
1. Cooking Lunch

Ryan cooks his own lunch almost everyday. The dish to cook will depend on Ryan’s meal choice he made at 9.30am.

A day in a week, we choose the dish for him. This is to encourage him to learn a new dish. We usually introduce new dishes during dinner.

The videos show how we can support Ryan in cooking different dishes.

Laksa
Sphagetti
Chicken Fried Rice

The main focus here is on Laundry – Sorting, Washing & Collecting dried clothes.

Routine (2pm)Breakdown of routine
1. Do Laundry

Ryan does the laundry for the whole family daily. In this training video, it shows what we need to do in order to support Ryan to:
(1) sort and wash the dirty laundry, and
(2) collect the dried laundry washed from the day before.

Ryan makes his dinner choice after completing his 2pm work

Routine (2.30pm)Breakdown of routine
1. Dinner Preparation

Ryan’s dinner is either:
1) Ryan’s choice – He will then stick it onto the dinner strip (insert pix of dinner strip)
2) We choose for him. – this is usually because we want him to try new dishes and teach him the name of the dish. We would inform Ryan after his 2pm work, and stick the new dish’s icon onto the Dinner Strip.

Dinner Choice

This is the set of tasks we set for Ryan for either 3pm or 4pmm. Typically we will set up 4 to 5 tasks at each hour.

The sequence and type of tasks varies from day to day.  With the schedule in place, Ryan knows exactly the tasks he needs to do, without the need for someone to tell him. Thus, increasing his level of independence.

Routine (3pm & 4pm)Breakdown of routine

1. Laundry tasks:

“Clothes-Basket”

This means Ryan has to sort the dried clothes he had collected at 2pm into different baskets. This is usually schedule at 3pm.

This is done before the other laundry tasks – such as folding (Clothes-Fold), & Ironing (Clothes-Iron)
This is also when Ryan does the second load of dirty laundry.
