Afternoon Routine
It’s Lunch time!
Routine (12pm) | Breakdown of routine |
1. Cooking Lunch | Ryan cooks his own lunch almost everyday. The dish to cook will depend on Ryan’s meal choice he made at 9.30am. A day in a week, we choose the dish for him. This is to encourage him to learn a new dish. We usually introduce new dishes during dinner. The videos show how we can support Ryan in cooking different dishes. |
The main focus here is on Laundry – Sorting, Washing & Collecting dried clothes.

1. Dinner Preparation | Ryan’s dinner is either: |
This is the set of tasks we set for Ryan for either 3pm or 4pmm. Typically we will set up 4 to 5 tasks at each hour.
The sequence and type of tasks varies from day to day. With the schedule in place, Ryan knows exactly the tasks he needs to do, without the need for someone to tell him. Thus, increasing his level of independence.
Routine (3pm & 4pm) | Breakdown of routine |
1. Laundry tasks: “Clothes-Basket” | This means Ryan has to sort the dried clothes he had collected at 2pm into different baskets. This is usually schedule at 3pm. This is done before the other laundry tasks – such as folding (Clothes-Fold), & Ironing (Clothes-Iron) Clothes-Fold |
2. Kitchen Tasks | These tasks includes ingredients that we need for cooking dinner that day. The tasks are: |
3. Exercise | We try to get Ryan to do short spurt of exercises, at least twice a day. His exercises include the following: |
4. Air Fryer | Ryan knows how to use the airfryer if visual is provided. As of March 2024, we only allow him to airfry in small quantity and these are usually his snack. This is because he tends to think that whatever that he is cooking in the airfryer is for him to eat. *Snacks that he can airfry and their cooking setting can be found near the airfryer” |

Routine (5pm) | Breakdown of routine |
1. Clothes-Hang | To hang up the freshly-washed second load of laundry. |
2. Set table for dinner | Ryan will lay out the table according to how many people are eating dinner that night. This includes the placemats, spoons, forks, cups, and filling the cups up with water. |
